Master these important tips to capture
high quality scans with ease
Patient should remain still during a scan
Instruct your patient to remain still during a scan. Use a fixture if needed.
Range of six to twenty-one inches
Start scans 12 inches (30 cm) away from the limb and proceed to scan within the range of 6–18 inches (15–46 cm).
Center the limb on screen
Keep the limb centered on the screen. Do not point the scanner away from the limb until after you have stopped the scan.
Take your time
Scan at a steady pace. A scan typically takes about one minute to complete.
